LinkedIn launches free AI Job Match tool for job seekers

LinkedIn has a long history of offering AI tools on its platform. Now, LinkedIn has introduced a new AI tool called Job Match, which helps seekers search for the best jobs suitable for their requirements.

When you are applying for a job, the tool will give you immediate advice on whether this particular job opening is worth your time to apply. This tool utilizes AI to offer detailed summaries alongside job listings. In addition, the tool tells users how qualified they are for a particular job. Essentially, the Job Match feature helps you save time when you hunt for a job.

LinkedIn’s product manager Rohan Rajiv describes that “the AI-powered feature goes beyond the kind of simple keyword matching that job hunters may already rely on”. To save time, the functionality attempts to understand the breadth of a user’s experience. It also checks how the experience aligns with the qualifications required for a job.

“When you’re qualified, we’ll be able to help you, but also, when you’re not qualified, we can hopefully find you other places where you are qualified,” Rajv told Engadget.

LinkedIn has also launched a recruitment AI agent feature

Alongside the LinkedIn AI job search feature, the Microsoft-owned company has also launched a recruitment AI Agent tool. The company has designed this feature to help small businesses. The company said it has created a synthetic version of recruitment managers and teams, which larger businesses typically use. You can use this tool to devise job applications, find qualified candidates, and triage applications.

LinkedIn’s AI Job Match and AI Agent tools will be available for free to all LinkedIn web and app users. That means that you don’t need to purchase a subscription to LinkedIn Premium to use these tools. The company has started rolling out these features globally in a gradual manner.
