Although not specifically marketed as a gaming smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Ultra has proved to be hugely popular with many online gamers in recent years.

The S24 Ultra received plenty of positive reviews for its impressive gaming capabilities, particularly for players who spend their time in the associated iGaming sector.

Fans of popular games such as online blackjack were in their element, with the S24 Ultra delivering a seamless gaming experience time after time.

The S25 Ultra is likely to take a significant leap forward in terms of capabilities, with an improved cooling system helping the device handle its power more effectively.

Some analysts have predicted the S25 will deliver 42 percent better cooling than its predecessor, which will ensure it can cope with even the most immersive casino games.

The improved cooling will allow the chipset to maintain peak performance at all times, thus negating the ‘throttling’ that occurs when a device is overheating.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is a beast when allowed to perform at its peak. Some experts have predicted the S25 will deliver a 34% boost in GPU performance due to the enhanced cooling set-up.

The S25 is also expected to have support for game frame interpolation technology which will be enabled by Qualcomm’s innovative Adreno Frame Motion Engine (AFME) 2.0 tech.

This will allow games with a 60Hz refresh rate or 60fps to run at a higher 120Hz refresh rate/120fps. The cooling enhancements will help to support this.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Game Super Resolution feature will also enhance gaming capabilities on the S25 Ultra by upscaling games to a higher resolution without using additional resources.

The S25 Ultra’s improved gaming features are reportedly part of Samsung’s Game Assist functionality, which is expected to be launched with the OneUI 7 update.

Given that the S25 Ultra is not specifically aimed at the gaming sector, it is no surprise that it also boasts numerous elements that other users will love.

Improved video quality when shooting at night will be facilitated by improved cooling and boosted GP performance, while artificial intelligence (AI) technology will also be prominent.

Samsung has promised that the Galaxy S25 will be a ‘true AI companion’, and has hinted that Bixby will be central to the overall experience on the smartphone.

The Sketch to Image feature that is part of the Galaxy AI suite of tools will be vastly improved, with voice commands and text prompts now in the equation.

Another new feature is the Now Bar. This is a personalized pop-up on the interface that provides daily context-sensitive information, such as travel information or weather forecasts.

This is where you will control your entertainment activities, plan your workout regime, get directions to your next meeting or communicate in other languages.

Samsung claims the Now Bar ‘even provides a curated travel playlist to set the mood for your long flight’ to far-flung destinations, adding a new level to smartphone personalization.

According to Samsung’s official website, the Galaxy AI suite of tools ‘will keep you both informed and inspired with actionable tips and recommendations uniquely tailored to your life’.

Having enjoyed massive success with the Galaxy series since its inception, Samsung appears to be hellbent on driving their innovative Android device to even greater heights.
