The Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch event has just been confirmed for February. This information comes from the President and General Manager of Xiaomi’s smartphone division, Lu Weibing. He confirmed the news via Weibo.

Just to be clear, Weibing did not flat-out say that the phone is coming in February. However, he said that it will launch shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival which begins at the end of January. So… February is a given.
An earlier rumor suggested that the phone will launch in February too. In fact, the global variant of this phone could launch as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The global Xiaomi 15 is expected to arrive alongside it.
Xiaomi’s exec did not really share any other details about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. However, quite a few information did surface thus far, so we do know what to expect at this point.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite will fuel the phone, the best chip Qualcomm has to offer. This was to be expected, as both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, which launched in China, use that processor.
Four cameras are expected on the back
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature a circular camera module on the back, a rather large one. A quad micro-curved display will be placed on the front, so the display itself will be flat. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be placed under the display.
A 6,000mAh battery is rumored for the device, a silicon-carbon battery. The phone will likely support 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with reverse wireless charging.
A 50-megapixel main camera is expected, possibly a 1-inch type sensor. A 50-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom) is also expected, and the same goes for a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The last camera on the back will be a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit.
