Android 15’s continued arrival on different phone brands and models has so far been on a steady course, and at this point a lot of different manufacturers have started rolling out the latest version of Android for their devices. Sony’s Xperia 5 V finally joins the club, with Android 15 now seeding to devices across the globe.
As expected, there are new features with the update – this includes “Private Space,” which serves as secure area within the app drawer where users can store apps and data privately. The “Wallpaper & Style” settings have been redesigned with additional customization options. Users will be able to assign different live wallpapers for the Home screen and lock screen, adjust Home screen color contrast for better visibility, and customize lock screen shortcuts and clock styles.
Sony’s own Side Sense function also comes with new updates including the new Dashboard which comes with quick access and control for frequently used settings. Meanwhile, the Quick settings panel now includes a new screenshot tool, and the notification panel has been redesigned for improved organization.
Additionally, pop-up windows have been enhanced with operation icons, new resizing capabilities, and the ability to display multiple pop-up windows simultaneously. For audio, broadcasting now works Bluetooth LE Audio, and users can easily share audio with multiple devices or receive shared audio from others. The Headphones Connect app has been renamed to Sony | Sound Connect.
