The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the most powerful smartphone Samsung announced today. It arrived alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, but it stands in a league of its own. We’ve already covered the original launch announcement, as we’re here to take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has the most powerful specifications in the lineup
This phone has the same processor as the other two smartphones, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. That is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but slightly overclocked for the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung also included 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM here, though a 16GB RAM model will be available too… in select regions. You can choose between 256GB and 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage, which is not expandable.
A gorgeous 6.9-inch AMOLED display sits on the front
The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 6.9-inch WQHD+ (3120 x 1440) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. That panel is flat, and it has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. That panel goes up to 2,600 nits when it comes to brightness. It’s protected by the Gorilla Armor 2, a brand new version of Gorilla Armor.
A 5,000mAh battery sits on the inside, and the phone supports 45W wired charging. On top of that, 15W wireless charging is also supported, as is reverse wireless charging. A charger is not included in the retail box.
Samsung will offer software updates for 7 years
Android 15 comes pre-installed on the device, along with Samsung’s One UI 7 skin. Samsung offers 7 years of software updates, by the way. The phone is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and it supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported, and there are two SIM card slots here, with eSIM support. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package. The same goes for stereo speakers too. You can also take advantage of regular facial scanning via the phone’s front-facing camera.
What about the cameras? Well, four are included on the back. A 200-megapixel main shooter (f/1.7 aperture, OIS, 1/1.3-inch sensor, 0.6um pixel size) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/1.9 aperture, 120-degree FoV). A 10-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom, OIS) is also here, as is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (5x optical zoom). On the front, you’ll find a 12-megapixel snapper (f/2.2 aperture).
It’s lighter than its predecessor
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm, while it weighs 218 grams. The device comes in Titan Black, Titani Gray, Titan Silverblue, and Titan Whitesilver color options. Those are the standard colors, widely available. There are also some additional colors, exclusive to the Samsung Store. Those colors are Titanium Jadegreen, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Pinkgold.
