Sleep Can Change Your Life Yesterday, I was so exhausted that I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow, and I ended up sleeping for about 11 hours. The next day, after having a cup of coffee in the morning, I was surprisingly energized and haven’t felt tired at all so far. Looking back, during my last job transition, I barely got any proper sleep for almost two consecutive years. At my worst, I was only sleeping 3 to 4 hours a day. On top of that, due to COVID-19, I couldn’t go out to exercise, which caused more damage to my body than I had imagined. I’m probably still feeling the effects of that period to this day. As someone working in Japan, I’ve already achieved a part of my earlier dreams. However, I need to plan for the long term if I want to stay in Japan, which means I have to achieve this goal. This year, I’m determined to prioritize sleep and take better care of my health. Even though not many people are reading my posts right now, I believe that when I succeed and look back, I’ll prove that even someone like me, with less-than-ideal conditions, can make it happen. The distance to my goal is still far, but I believe I can get there.
